Although urban planning workflows typically begin with land designation, understanding of regulations, and massing studies, the designer is typically brought in to address more organizational, aesthetic, and functional aspects of the planning process. ArcGIS Urban is an excellent starting point for these planning workflows that touch on design practices, but products like ArcGIS CityEngine with its Rhino and Grasshopper plugins can help urban designers and architects advance their schematic designs. In this presentation, we will explain how you can integrate these products and seamlessly transition from one to the other.
