New 3D trends and technologies in GIS provides explanatory illustrations that represent the scale of real-world objects. A 3D GIS is used to create a realistic simulation of a project, environment, or critical situation. Data experts employs different technologies helping architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry depending on ArcGIS City Engine and Autodesk REVIT in addition to ArcGIS Pro to integrate standard 3D elements geodatabase. Data experts uses GeoBIM in the designing and construction of low cost housing projects in Badr City in Egypt. Data experts uses 3D City database “CityGML” that is a professional geo-database available as a product by the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC). The 3D City database is used to store, represent, and manage virtual 3D city models on top of a standard spatial relational database. The database schema implements the OGC standards with semantically rich and multi-scale urban objects facilitating complex analysis tasks, far beyond visualization. Data experts adopts standard workflows data migration to OCG 3D City database. This research is subjected to environmental aspects and related analysis. A selective environmental analysis has been chosen from the Eco-friendly design point of view to be implemented. Standard 3D GIS was the perfect model to analyze environmental rules such as non-availability of open space, noise pollution, unusual temperature rise. A methodology implemented in order to enrich the environmental analysis in the design phase for all projects components such as (buildings - infrastructure, street-furniture - landscaping elements etc.). Using ArcGIS PRO we get benefit of the 3D model geometry and attribute to provide a package of solutions to serve the following environmental planning analysis: Buildings orientation settlings Determining the effects of noise and solar radiation on buildings Preparation of environmental impact assessment studies for projects.
