The Port of Long Beach is a key node in many supply chains. Every year, it handles 8.1 million shipping container units, carrying $200 billion worth of goods. As we saw in 2021, a delay at this port impacts people across the country and around the world.
Orbital Insight’s GO platform allows analysts to quantify and monitor port activity, alerting them to potential delays before they become serious issues. This data can then be exported to ArcGIS Online, where Esri users can track waits at anchorage sites, turnaround times at berths, delays at truck checkpoints, fluctuations in container counts, and changes in worker traffic.
