This workshop will provide a clear foundation of the most widely-used interpolation method in GIS: kriging. Attendees will learn best practices, assumptions of the methods, and how to interpret the results. Empirical Bayesian Kriging (EBK) will be demonstrated in 2D and 3D and allows accurate interpolation with minimal options. In 2D, you will learn how to use explanatory variables to improve the interpolation, and in 3D, you will learn how to explore the results as a continuous voxel layer. Finally, Nearest Neighbor 3D will be used to create a discrete voxel layer from categorical 3D points.
