Fleet fuel cards are attractive to public and private sector employers because they help save money and manage paperwork. Unfortunately, some employees commit fraud by using these cards to fill their personal vehicles or profit from the buying and selling of gas. For investigators, one advantage of fleet fuel cards is that they produce reports detailing a driver's purchases. These reports include the addresses where drivers refueled their vehicles as well as the price and type of gas. Using GIS, investigators can use these clues to determine whether a purchase was legitimate.
