Esri's former solutions engineer, Pat Dolan was diagnosed with ALS in 2016. As he was navigating the disease he learned that it was very hard to locate ALS clinics, support groups and medical trials, so he decided to make a map with all of this information. This is where his ALS advocacy started, fast forward to today, Pat Dolan used GIS to help pass legislation that offer more opportunities for faster ALS therapies and to broaden access to those who need it most.
