The PPD Mobility project aims transform a standard City-issued mobile phone into CJIS-compliant mobile device in hands of every police officer. The project leverages ESRI technology, such as ArcGIS Portal, web map applications, survey123, and Microsoft Teams to both deliver analytical capabilities to officers and investigators, and receive street level information from the field. The program aims to increase information sharing between officers and analysts, have community to play a more active role in district policing strategies by directly and safely connecting with officers to seek guidance or share information involving non-emergency situations, and support crime victims. Officer safety is enhanced through real-time GPS of foot-beat and bike officers, and provide a more direct connection with City Services.
