Using GIS Where it Counts
Every ten years, the US Census strives to count more than 330 million people once, only once, and in the right place. In 2020, that seemingly impossible task became a lot easier. Detecting population change in an area required countless hours by hundreds of thousands of workers on the ground in 2010. After the US Census Bureau digitized their workflow with Esri technology, the same process could be completed in 2020 by just 165 people.
