The+F7:H31 distributions of marine species are shifting in response to climate change, with implications for fishery management, fisheries, and fishing dependent communities. In the U.S., there is high and growing demand for species distribution information for use in fisheries science and management and other ocean use decision-making (e.g., energy development, transportation, shipping, etc.).
We will describe and demonstrate the capabilities of a new online portal developed by NOAA Fisheries called the Distribution Mapping and Analysis Portal (DisMAP). DisMAP shows fish species distributions over time along with indicators that characterize movement across the surface and depths of the ocean.
DisMAP is powered by ArcGIS Imagery for AGOL and the Esri Javascript API.
