Responsible recreation has kept Gray’s Reef National Marine Sanctuary an ideal fishing destination for 40+ years. Preserving this marine resource requires that anglers know the fishing regulations, are using proper equipment, and are logging their catches appropriately. Over the years, anglers at Gray’s Reef have determined the need for an interactive resource to share fishing best practices and ensure generations to come can enjoy all that the reef has to offer. Traditionally, the resources used to explain the proper techniques for catching and releasing fish, recreating in the sanctuary, how to participate in the Citizen Science Program and more, have been provided through a variety of websites, guides, and other platforms. In this talk, we will explore how Esri’s Experience Builder can be used to develop comprehensive and interactive multi-media resources that can help educate the public on how they can play an active part in preserving our natural resources like our National Marine Sanctuaries.
