Spatial Statistics: Statistical Cluster Analysis

Whenever we look at a map, we naturally organize and cluster what we see to help us make better sense of it. This workshop will explore powerful spatial statistics techniques designed to do this in space and time. We'll start with the statistical cluster analysis methods: Hot Spot Analysis and Cluster and Outlier Analysis. Then, we will add time to our analysis using Emerging Hot Spot Analysis. Through discussions and examples, you will learn how these techniques work, and strategies for interpreting and communicating results.
