Protecting and securing critical infrastructure and facilities are paramount to any nation’s safety, security, and economic stability. GIS has long been viewed as a platform to support security workflows at local, state, and national levels. The objective of this webinar, however, will be to apply these principles at a different scale—the campus level. Universities, business parks, high schools, entertainment districts, casinos, sports stadiums, even military bases, and large government facilities, all often possess the self-contained aspects of a large community. Whether dealing with criminal activity, terrorist attack, or a natural disaster, a nation’s key resources remain essential to the normal operations of its economy, government, and way of life. Prevention and response at the campus level (both indoors and outdoors) is a necessity in the complex security environment we live in today, as we prepare for the new normal.
