"A common operating picture among partners and stakeholders is critical to an effective and efficient emergency response. Arizona developed an Operations Dashboard that provides a dynamic, visual snapshot of situational awareness in the state.
DEMA’s Situation Unit created the Operations Dashboard, an online ESRI/ArcGIS tool, that packages raw, publicly available data sets and represents them visually through (maps, infographics, etc). This tool facilitates faster and more effective data-driven decision making in both blue sky and grey sky days. The tool also looks an incorporating WebEOC as the geospatial data input for emergency managers.
Part of the elegance of DEMA’s Operations Dashboard is that it’s equally useful across agencies and levels—from the Governor’s office to local emergency management staff—which means more efficient, smarter decisions are being made statewide to better prepare the whole community."
