Join us for part 2 in this three-part series on how GIS helps modernize public safety operations centers as we explore real-time data and sensor integration for operations centers. Public safety and security personnel have access to many sources of data, including incident reports, calls for service (CFS), suspicious activity reports, and records management systems (RMS). In today’s operational environment, the list of possible data sources can grow exponentially, including data from sensors such as mobile devices, closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems, drones, and any other location-enabled devices. In this session we discuss how to integrate and make sense of all these various data sources, using maps to help us focus on what’s important.
