With increasing heatwaves, floods, and wildfires, cities are using GIS to redesign urban spaces and build green infrastructure. The technology has helped reduce wildfire response times and achieve zero deaths in the last three years. Additionally, GIS is aiding in drought mitigation, with plans to build two major infrastructures to increase water volume in the south.
