Cloud infrastructures provide exciting opportunities for imagery users to gain from inexpensive storage and elastic compute. However, to fully take advantage of this approach, there are considerations related to architecture, storage, and process workflows. This session will explore best practices for optimizing imagery management and use in the cloud environment. It will discuss how to optimize imagery formats and storage architecture; the importance of the raster function framework; and provide recommendations on how best to handle security considerations.
