Recently, technical experts from USEPA and Ocean P3 Systems collaborated with Esri in development of a Story Map for The Opportunity Project, to better inform individuals and communities about the global ocean plastics problem and provide options for taking action. An overview of the StoryMap will present the role of GIS in understanding and addressing ocean plastics pollution and highlight that the management of solutions requires GIS-based application and measurement of their effectiveness.
