• In this demo, we used ArcGIS Knowledge to track Direct Relief shipments of critical medication to Louisiana residents during Hurricane Ida to understand where the medicines were distributed, the impact to affected communities and how Direct Relief could be best prepared for the next disaster.
• We used the power of ArcGIS Knowledge and spatial and graph analytics to analyze the Direct Relief supply chain during hurricane response to find the partner with the strongest connections to the people in need.
• ArcGIS Knowledge blends graph and spatial analysis to solve complex geographic problems using spatial and non-spatial data. It is a new optional ArcGIS Enterprise capability that allows you to work with related data and non-spatial information in its proper context.
• By analyzing spatial and non-spatial relationships with ArcGIS Knowledge, we found that medicine shipments delivered to Winnfield, Louisiana had the greatest reach among communities that don’t have very many options for health care.
• Using spatial analytics of the evacuations and infrastructure, with graph analysis of the community organizations, ArcGIS Knowledge can help identify which community organizations in what areas should be focused on to help the most vulnerable people. Knowledge graphs help provide Direct Relief with critical information to ensure that in disaster response, medication and supplies are distributed quickly and effectively through its partner network to serve the areas of greatest need.
• ArcGIS Knowledge can help inform your work in many different types of scenarios—from crime investigations to examining consumer spending habits to understanding the supply chain. This hybrid approach to understanding your data in the context of spatial and non-spatial relationships can help you make more informed, data-driven decisions.
