Multidimensional raster datasets are a rich source of spatio-temporal information, however, synthesizing multiple dimensions in a 2D map creates a visualization challenge. Using the HYbrid Coordinate Ocean Model (HYCOM) dataset, this presentation will look at different methods of extracting and vectorizing several raster processing templates, such as sea water salinity or temperature, for 3D visualizations. New scene layer attribute filtering capabilities will be demonstrated with the ArcGIS Online Web Scene Viewer, allowing you to easily isolate value ranges of sea water velocity, direction, temperature, or salinity in depth or time. Fundamentals for creating and sharing 3D global-scale animations using ArcGIS Pro will also be covered.
