Customize a theme for impactful stories

In ArcGIS StoryMaps, the theme of a story controls its colors and fonts and the appearance of buttons, quotes, and other graphic elements. You can choose to apply an existing theme to a story, or you can create a custom one.

The National Weather Service publishes live-feed smoke forecast data for North America. In this tutorial, you'll make this information easier to access and understand by sharing it through a story. You'll start with a story that is already configured with a map, text, and photos. To complete its design, you'll create a custom theme. You'll choose colors and fonts that match the topic, tone, and content of the story.
