Humans are working together to understand the interconnected location-based systems of our planet. NASA’s Earth Science Division furthers global connectedness and cooperation by deploying fleets of satellites to record and monitor Earth observations. These satellites record petabytes of data every year and allow researchers to integrate and harmonize data from multiple sources, spatial scales, and instruments to reach new insights. These observations are reaching broader audiences, including the general public, who desire to understand the impact of climate change around the globe and in their communities. GIS provides an effective way to visualize, analyze and communicate this information. While these data are freely and openly available, they are not always innately operable in common GIS tools. Join us to see how NASA Earth Science is overcoming this challenge through services, applications, StoryMaps, and Notebooks, and distributing content through online platforms. Learn about our collaborative effort to bring the best of NASA data to the ArcGIS suite of technology and our implementation of ArcGIS Enterprise in the cloud.
