Over the last century, American cities have adopted parking policies that promote separated land use and ample parking, resulting in drivable cities but limited walkable neighborhoods. At the Redlands Forum on December 5, Donald Shoup, Distinguished Research Professor in UCLA's Department of Urban Planning, discussed about how properly priced parking can make cities more efficient and socially just.
