Always review the available asbuilt documentation and verify the existence of projected coordinates and datum. Tips on georeferencing floorplan CADs; 1. Use the most reliable reference source; highly accurate survey benchmark, parcel, building footprints, etc. 2. Start with the most lower floor, and use the known building corners for the next floor level's reference source for the consistent alignment between the floor levels.
