Edward Feuerstein presented how Barr Air Patrol is utilizing their new Tallon 360 system to capture oblique imagery during routine pipeline ROW patrol. This imagery, captured during the aerial patrol survey, has a rich set of near real-time images of the current status of the right-of-way. Utilizing the Esri Oriented Image viewer, Barr can deliver this imagery product in a way that can then be integrated with the enterprise GIS and leveraged for various value-added workflows that pipeline operators can leverage. In conjunction with the presentation from Barr Air Patrol, Jeff Allen of Esri, gave a live demo of how these types of oriented images can be referenced geographically, and viewed seamlessly within the GIS environment. Jeff discussed the potential for advanced workflows, utilizing AI and Image Detection to extract valuable operational data from these image datasets.
