A core principle of Geodesign is the knowledge of the people of the place. Urban Planners and Designers depend on the people of the place to help guide policy development and project design to gain the confidence of decision-makers. The presentation will provide perspective and insight on how urban planners and designers are incorporating Geodesign principles and web-based GIS technologies to create meaningful interactive tools that help engage the people of the place and build consensus for their projects. This session will highlight case studies that illustrate how urban planners and designers are incorporating these new tools into their community planning workflows.
