The Philadelphia Fire Department is one of the oldest in the country and steeped in centuries of tradition, but like many public safety organizations it can be difficult to adapt those traditions to the changing needs of the communities they serve. With budgets being tighter than ever, the need for data to justify and support funding for new initiatives has never been more important. Leveraging the capabilities of ArcGIS Online and Survey123, the Philadelphia Fire Department Community Risk Reduction (CRR) Unit has been able to implement several successful data collection and visualization tools that have helped the department gain funding to expand the services provided to the citizens of Philadelphia. The presentation will go through the creation and implementation of some of these tools and the results that followed.
