Combating Zika, Chikungunya, Dengue and other bacterial life-threatening diseases associated with contaminated water, after Hurricane Maria is vital. Puerto Rico Science Trust, uses Esri technology, to leverage the capacity to control the Aedes Aegypti mosquito and to deliver water filter to families, in the central mountains and remote locations to keep humans and animals safe and healthy. The initiatives are the Puerto Rico Vector Control Unit, manage over 1,000 mosquito traps, and Proyecto de Agua Limpia, deliver water filter to families, in the central mountains of Puerto Rico, after hurricane María.
