National Geographic Labs, a part of the National Geographic Society, works in four primary areas of innovation: engineering remote imaging, geographic visualization, advertising, and citizen science. The National Geographic Society gives grants to around 400 scientists annually and helps them effectively visualize data--especially using GIS and Esri's ArcGIS Platform.
