Xavier Berni, Global GIS Manager at Apache Corporation shares their progress in establishing operations control centers to monitor remote field-based production activities. Real-time data is streamed to an operations dashboard via the OSISoft Pi Integrator for Esri, in order to help manage by exception on things like artificial lift, tank-batteries and field-meter values.
Xavier shares how quick it is to set-up a simple POC for such a system. He also discusses field-based navigation and routing for pumper vehicles to optimize planned schedules and allocate new priorities on an as-needed basis in Workforce for ArcGIS, blending contractor vehicles managed in AGOL with company vehicles managed by Apache-based systems via VPN. Activities can then be coordinated appropriately via Workforce and the use of mobile apps like Survey 123 and Collector, to reduce operating costs and maximize production.
