Esri’s Humanitarian Solutions team works to enable the humanitarian community, from local to international organizations, to achieve maximum impact with GIS and ensure that ArcGIS tools and systems are the most effective they can be. Working in partnership with the humanitarian community, Esri is focused on four key initiatives:
- localization of humanitarian response
- disaster risk reduction through geodesign
- innovation and acceleration, and
- systems thinking and stakeholder engagement.
Through these efforts, we are committed to improving how GIS and location intelligence support global and local humanitarian aid actors to help them achieve maximum impact. The Esri Humanitarian GIS Hub is a place where you can explore, access, and contribute to resources and initiatives to improve the impact of GIS in humanitarian action.
In this video, we introduce the new Esri Humanitarian GIS Hub and highlight use cases from the Humanitarian GIS community on how they have leveraged location intelligence to facilitate information and experience sharing between community members. The hub will be the starting point to explore new geospatial functionality and discover a selection of fascinating applications from humanitarian organizations across the world.
