Maps told the story of a community—a community that created itself out of an undeveloped landscape with an infrastructure supporting agriculture, industry, residential neighborhoods, and much more. On May 22, 2024, A.K. Smiley Public Library archivist Dr. Nathan Gonzales and special collections manager Maria Carrillo Colato presented “A History of Redlands through Maps.” They explored the evolution and development of Redlands within a geographic context.
