Deputy Sheriff Mike Jones of San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department discusses, at the 2019 Esri Public Sector CIO Summit, the complete digital transformation the Homeless Outreach Proactive Enforcement (HOPE) team underwent to use tackle homelessness. Using mobile data collection apps, the HOPE team was able to house over 1,600 homeless individuals and decrease chronic homelessness by 9%.
