Creating realistic visualizations of flooding scenarios is an effective way to engage with your community and demonstrate potential impacts of Sea Level Rise, from the city to the human scale. In this example, we will explore several Sea Level Rise scenarios in Miami, Florida, to assess impacts to buildings and transportation infrastructure, and to understand which populations may be most at-risk to future flooding events. Using the U.S. Sea Level Rise Inundation Scenarios, and application of the ArcGIS 3D Basemaps and Flood Impact Analysis Solutions, we will show how to create and visualize these flood impact layers for your community.
